Association of Average Adjusters, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, an Honorary Member of
the International Institute of Marine Surveyors, and an Associate Fellow of the Nautical Institute.

Ravi PS Ahluwalia, a Marine engineering and O&G project professional with proven technical, operations,
business development & communication skills. He holds a First Class Engineer (UK) diesel unlimited, with 10
years’ as Chief Engineer, Shell UK and overall, 30 years of experience in the technical industry.
Successfully completed an MBA program in the UK, transitioned to Subsea Project management, executed
diversified Oil & gas upstream field projects and FPSO/refinery package portfolios. He is actively
demonstrating expertise in training, safety and quality assurance fields.

Capt. Vikash Deep brings extensive experience in managing oil, chemical, and crude oil tankers, having
served in various officer roles over his career. His expertise includes cargo planning, loading,
discharging, and dry dock operations, with a track record of successfully clearing vetting and port state
inspections. Capt. Vikash’s comprehensive knowledge of tanker operations and commitment to safety and
efficiency make him a vital part of the team.
MR. GAUTAM ACHARYYA

Mr Gautam Acharyya brings over 30 years of experience in insurance surveying and loss adjusting, with expertise across Marine Cargo & Liability, MCE Projects, Energy, Catastrophic Property Losses, and Financial Lines Claims. He began his career with Survey and Superintending Co. Ltd in 1990 and has since held senior roles including Country Head at African Loss Adjusters (ALA-Tanzania) and Regional Claims Manager (Commercial) at Reliance General Insurance Co. Ltd. He has also represented reputed firms such as TransOceanic S&A, ABSOLUTE, and PROTOCOL, and most recently contributed to national growth and corporate development at Mclarens India. Widely respected for his integrity, pragmatic approach, and collaborative leadership, Mr Acharyya now leads SOTERIA's India operations, focusing on strategic growth, innovation, and service excellence.

Brian is an experienced Property Adjuster with impressive qualifications, including ACIIA, DipCII, and AMIMechE. He has worked in various roles in the insurance industry, including Loss Adjuster and Risk Engineer, and has a background in mechanical engineering. Previously, he worked as a Loss Adjuster for McLarens International Limited in UAE.

Swaminathan Mahadevan is a highly qualified and experienced consultant in the maritime industry. With an
impressive career spanning over two decades, Swaminathan has held several key positions in various
organizations. From being a partner at Hydrotech Industry & Works to serving as a Director (Technical and
Operations) at Splendour Marine Management DMCC and Seapro Technical Service LLC, Swaminathan has been
responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vessels, carried out pre-purchase inspections, and
served as a consultant superintendent for various inspections and dry dockings.

Surjeet is an experienced marine professional with a solid background in vessel navigation and operations.
With years of sea-going service aboard bulk carriers, VLOCs, and passenger vessels, he contributes practical
knowledge to Soteria’s surveying team. He is involved in cargo inspections, condition surveys, and draft
surveys, focusing on accurate documentation and adherence to industry standards. His steady approach and
familiarity with maritime procedures support the team’s commitment to reliable and efficient service.
VISHNU PRADEEP
Surveyor
Vishnu is a seasoned surveyor specializing in a diverse range of marine inspections in Dubai. He skillfully
conducts condition surveys, ROB surveys, bunker quantity verifications, and cargo inspections, ensuring
meticulous attention to detail. His keen expertise in damage evaluation is instrumental in providing
accurate assessments for insurance claims, emphasizing safety, compliance, and client communication.
Vishnu’s consistent track record with top shipping firms illustrates his dedication to precision and client
satisfaction in the maritime surveying field.
ASHIK K ASHOK
Junior Surveyor
Ashik K Ashok brings a fresh perspective to the team, actively contributing to inspections of fruit
cargoes, commodities, and refrigerated (reefer) cargo. Although new to the field, he is quickly building
expertise in evaluating conditions critical for insurance and claims. Ashik is committed to learning from
seasoned surveyors, ensuring accurate and client-focused service in the surveying industry.

Marine Technical Manager (India Operations)
Satvik is our Marine Technical Manager with expertise in various technical roles spanning over a decade.
Satvik has experience in vessel monitoring, inspections, VIR and audits, managing vessel KPIs and
benchmarking, managing budgets and finances, liaising with vendors, and coordinating with P&I, H&M regarding
insurance and claims, as well as chartering and vessel operators regarding vessel issues and technical
matters.
